FAQ's

What is a dumpster?

A dumpster is a large, steel container designed for collecting and transporting waste materials to disposal or recycling facilities. Bin-Drop's dumpsters are built to withstand heavy-duty usage for construction, renovation, and cleanup projects.

What dumpster sizes does Bin-Drop offer?

Bin-Drop offers compact dumpsters designed to fit in narrow spaces with approximately the footprint of a minivan:

  • 10-yard dumpster: 8ft width × 12ft length × 5.5ft height (1-ton weight limit)
  • 15-yard dumpster: 8ft width × 12ft length × 5.5ft height (2-ton weight limit)
  • 20-yard dumpster: 8ft width × 16ft length × 5ft height (2.5-ton weight limit)
  • 30-yard dumpster: 8ft width × 20ft length × 6ft height (3.5-ton weight limit)

What are dumpsters made of?

Bin-Drop dumpsters are constructed from heavy-duty steel for maximum durability and safety, designed to handle construction debris, household waste, and other approved materials.

How long can I keep my dumpster?

Standard rental period is 7 days. After 7 days, you will be charged $10.00 per additional day. Bin-Drop reserves the right to retrieve dumpsters after 10 days regardless of customer preference.

When do I pay for my rental?

Payment is required in full before delivery. Additional charges (overweight,

violations, extra days) will be automatically charged to your payment method on

file after pickup.

What are the weight limits?

  • 10-yard: 1-ton limit
  • 15-yard: 2-ton limit
  • 20-yard: 2.5-ton limit
  • 30-yard: 3.5-ton limit

Overweight charges: $130-$150 per ton over the limit (prorated). These charges are automatically applied and non-negotiable. This includes weight added by

rain, snow, or other precipitation.

Will the dumpster fit in my driveway?

Most driveways can accommodate our compact dumpsters. Our standard 15-yard dumpster has the approximate footprint of a minivan, while our 30-yard dumpster is longer but maintains the same 8ft width. You are responsible for ensuring adequate space and access.

Where can I place the dumpster?

Dumpsters must be placed on flat, hard surfaces only (driveways, paved areas). We cannot place dumpsters on:

  • Slopes or uneven ground
  • Soft surfaces (grass, dirt, gravel)
  • City streets without proper permits
  • Property you do not own
Will the dumpster damage my driveway?

We place protective wood planks under dumpsters to minimize damage. However, you acknowledge and accept all risks of property damage as outlined in our Terms and Conditions. Bin-Drop is not liable for any property damage.

Can I move the dumpster after delivery?

No. Moving the dumpster is strictly prohibited. Unauthorized movement:

  • Voids all warranties
  • Makes you liable for any damage
  • Results in a $250 repositioning fee if we must relocate it
